Beat together at medium speed of electric mixer for one
minute, or whirl in blender:
11/2 c. wheat germ
21/4 c. milk
3 eggs
6 T. salad oil
11/4 c. white flour
4 t. baking powder
1 T. sugar
11/2t. salt
1/2 t. cinnamon
1/4 t. ginger
1/8 t. mace
Bake on hot griddle.
Options:
For crispy waffles, reserve egg whites, beat until stiff, and fold
into batter just before baking. Thin batter slightly with milk.
